Inspector “Flatfoot” Rizzo investigates crime and corruption in Naples.

The movie is about a candidate for mayor of Madrid who is immersed in a huge mess during the pre-election night, when a body needs to be disappeared.

Amancio is an entrepreneur who needs a son to inherit the shares of the Company to continue controlling the business. But it has a small problem, can not have children. One day, Amancio learns that the farm has on the field there is a gardener who has terrorized the inhabitants of a nearby town, for their ability to conquer women. So he decides to take his wife to the farm in order to stay in a state of good hope.

Eduardo and Antonia are a mature couple excited about their daughter expecting their first grandchild. But life will change completely when some laboratory tests confirm that it is Antonia who is pregnant and not her daughter. This unexpected situation strongly influences the character of Eduardo, who begins to live what he calls a "second youth".

While the Second World War rages, the teenage Mahito, haunted by his mother's tragic death, is relocated from Tokyo to the serene rural home of his new stepmother Natsuko, a woman who bears a striking resemblance to the boy's mother. As he tries to adjust, this strange new world grows even stranger following the appearance of a persistent gray heron, who perplexes and bedevils Mahito, dubbing him the "long-awaited one."

Marc, a bipolar and paranoid filmmaker, cannot tolerate seeing his current project picked apart by his producers. The clips he’s been able to sneak a look at lead him to fear the worst. With his editor as an accomplice, he manages to spirit away the rushes to his aunt’s place in the Cévennes, to finish the film as he envisions it. Instead, its completion is constantly postponed, as he creates endless diversions and impasses, which alternate between the comic and the downright disturbing.
